Metizport qualify for Logitech G Play Connect LAN
Metizport have secured their place at the Logitech G Play Connect LAN after a grueling 2-0 victory over 9INE in the Closed Qualifier. The series featured an intense overtime marathon on the first map, with forsyy delivering a standout performance to lead the Czech squad to the win.
Following their recent success in the ECL S52 Europe Cup 4, Metizport continued their strong form by defeating 9INE in a best-of-three series. Although the match ended 2-0, the round count was exceptionally high, reflecting the competitive nature of the encounter. The event lineup includes notable teams such as B8, GamerLegion, NIP, Luminosity, M80, and Liquid.
The series began on Nuke, where Metizport established an early lead. Despite 9INE mounting a comeback to reach map point first, Metizport forced the game into overtime. The overtime phase was particularly dramatic, with both teams trading rounds across four separate overtime periods. Metizport ultimately secured the map with a 25-23 scoreline after winning three consecutive rounds on the CT side in the fourth overtime.
On the second map, Ancient, 9INE maintained competitive pressure. The teams traded round streaks throughout the first half, with 9INE leading 11-6 at one point. However, Metizport responded with a seven-round streak to close the map 13-11, narrowly avoiding another overtime scenario.
David "forsyy" Bílý was the standout player for Metizport, recording 66 kills, a 91.0 ADR, and a 1.54 rating. For 9INE, Maciej "b1elany" Biliński posted the highest rating on the server with 1.16 and a 75.7 ADR. The Logitech G Play Connect LAN is scheduled to begin on September 17th.
