The summer fun continues in the Mario Kart World Open August 2026 event
The summer season of Mario Kart World competitions is in full swing: the Mario Kart World Open August 2026 event runs from August 15 to August 16. Organizers invite players from North and South America to join the races, rewarding participants with 50 My Nintendo™ Platinum Points.
To access the tournament, you will need Mario Kart World, a Nintendo Account, an internet connection, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The reward of 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points will be available to claim on the Missions page on or about August 25, 2026.
The event features VS Race mode on 150cc tracks without Computer Opponent (COM) difficulty. There is a maximum of 32 races with an interval of 0:30 between them. To enter the in-game event, select Online Play, press the - Button to search for an event, and enter the Event ID 6527.
Participating in this event makes certain Nintendo Account information (username, player icon, score) publicly viewable on the event results page. The game is available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems.
