Luminosity signs up for EPIC.LAN 49 in pursuit of Major qualification
Luminosity has officially signed up for EPIC.LAN 49, a four-day event hosted in Kettering, United Kingdom. The move comes as the team scrambles to secure points for Major qualification before the cutoff.
The stakes are high for Luminosity. According to HLTV, their current chances of qualifying for the Major stand at just 11%—a precarious position just over a week before invites are distributed. This dip follows a winless run in the DraculaN Season 7 playoffs. While the $8.5K British LAN offers a chance to gain vital ranking points, the actual impact on their qualification prospects remains to be seen.
The schedule looks demanding for the roster. Following their recent registration for the Tesla Cup LAN in Belgrade, Serbia, the team faces a tight turnaround. Although the events do not overlap, reaching the finals in Serbia would require the players to fly to the UK only one day later.
Other notable teams already registered for EPIC.LAN 49 include BIG, Ryvex, and The Last Resort.
