Luminosity acquire yxngstxr to replace Bymas
Luminosity have officially announced the acquisition of former HEROIC member Simon "yxngstxr" Boije to replace Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, who was benched following just five matches.
The organization is not waiting for a long transition period. yxngstxr, who was originally removed from the HEROIC roster in June and officially parted ways with them yesterday, joins the squad to fill the Lithuanian's role immediately.
Since his benching, yxngstxr has been a free agent, standing in for EYEBALLERS and playing for the Raccoons mix-team featuring Cai "CYPHER" Watson and Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge. The move comes after Luminosity went 0-5 with IGL Lucas "lux" Meneghini at the helm.
To support the new lineup, the organization has also confirmed Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk, formerly of Monte, as their head coach. Their updated roster includes Oscar "AZUWU" Bell and Aurélien "afro" Drapier alongside Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov.
yxngstxr is expected to make his LAN debut at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 on September 17th, hoping to turn the team's fortunes around in their upcoming matches.
