Lufia I & II: The Sinistrals Saga announced for PS5, Switch 2, and PC
Taito has unveiled a collection of two iconic 90s JRPGs. The release is slated for 2027.

TAITO has officially announced Lufia I & II: The Sinistrals Saga, a collection featuring two beloved JRPGs from the 1990s. Known for their moving storylines and memorable soundtracks, these titles are returning to modern platforms. The collection is scheduled to launch in 2027.
The collection will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Clear River Games will handle the publishing for the Western market.
The saga includes two distinct entries:
- Lufia & the Fortress of Doom: The first installment follows a young man, descendant of a legendary hero, and a young woman facing a heavy destiny.
- Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals: A prequel centered on Maxim, a young man who would eventually become a legendary hero, and his companions' struggle against fate.
According to the announcement, the games are being lovingly ported and enhanced to meet modern gameplay standards. While the platforms and the 2027 release window are confirmed, a specific launch date has yet to be announced.
