Lootbound developers explain why characters keep staring at you
The team behind Lootbound has addressed a recurring question from players: why do characters in the game keep staring directly at you? In a recent update, ArtDock clarified that this is not a bug but an intentional design choice rooted in the game’s world-building.
Since launch, developers have been reviewing community feedback and noticed a pattern: many players asked why NPCs appear to be constantly watching them. Some even pointed out that characters seemed to address the player directly in dialogue lines.
To clarify, ArtDock shared a behind-the-scenes screenshot showing heroes from behind during development. This confirmed that the gaze effect was intentional and not a technical oversight.
As explained by the team, within the world of Lootbound, characters are aware of the player’s presence and may interact with them directly in certain dialogues. This mechanic is used to enhance immersion and reinforce the connection between the player and the game world.
The developers thanked the community for their feedback since release and encouraged players to join their Discord server for further discussion, questions, or suggestions. They emphasized that they are committed to improving Lootbound together with its audience.
