Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back announced for PS5
Publishers Dragami Games and Nada Holdings, alongside developer JP Universe, have officially announced Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back. The sequel is set to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2027.
The game is set in a rebuilt San Romero, now transformed into Jaredwood—a sprawling metropolis centered around the film industry. Juliet returns with a brand-new outfit and enhanced powers. The plot follows a mysterious director who traps her inside his twisted zombie movie, forcing her to fight alongside allies to uncover a conspiracy and face the threat of Corrupted Realm zombies.

The production features a high-profile team, including director Hajime Tabata (known for Final Fantasy XV). Masahiro Yuki, who co-produced and wrote the scenario for the original game, returns to the series, alongside NekoshowguN, the original's main character concept artist.

Alongside the announcement, the developers released eight minutes of gameplay and several screenshots. The title will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from September 17 to 21.

To celebrate the news, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is currently on sale with discounts of up to 45%. The sale for Xbox Series and Xbox One runs until October 15, while the Steam sale ends on September 30. Discounts for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch 2, Switch, and GOG are expected to be announced at a later date.
