Logitech G G923 & RS50: PC-only versions drive prices down
Logitech G is modernizing its racing wheel lineups by introducing PC-only versions of the G923 and RS50 systems. By removing the expensive licensing for PlayStation and Xbox, the company is making high-end sim racing more accessible to PC enthusiasts.
G923: A more affordable entry point for PC
The Logitech G923, originally released in 2020, is getting a targeted update. The new PC-only bundle includes the gear-driven wheel base—featuring Trueforce haptic feedback and up to 2.3 Nm of torque—alongside a complete pedal set. This streamlined version is expected to retail for approximately €280, a significant reduction from its original multi-platform MSRP.
The PC-exclusive nature of this bundle also simplifies ecosystem integration; users can connect modern Logitech G peripherals like RS Pedals or the RS-H shifter directly without needing adapters. The hardware itself has received a visual upgrade, featuring leather-wrapped grips, polished pedals, and brushed metal accents.
RS50 and the McLaren Racing Edition
The high-end RS50 system is also seeing updates, most notably with the introduction of the McLaren Racing Edition. This special edition features the iconic papaya orange color scheme, an aluminum wheel base chassis, and a Formula-style steering wheel design.
Pricing for the RS50 lineup is structured as follows:
- McLaren Racing Edition (PC): around €700;
- McLaren Racing Edition (PlayStation): around €800;
- Standard RS50 system (PC): €550;
- RS Pedals (PC): €150.
New RS Pedals SE: Budget-friendly options
To complement the lineup, Logitech G introduced the RS Pedals SE. Unlike the premium RS Pedals, which utilize a 75 kg load-cell for the brake, the SE version employs Hall-effect sensors for both gas and brake inputs. This change drops the price from €150 to €120. For those needing more precision, a load-cell upgrade is available for €60, or a second brake pedal can be added for €40 to function as a clutch.
