Liquid sweep Wildcard to win iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026
Liquid have been crowned champions of iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026 after a dominant 2-0 victory over Wildcard in the grand final. Along with the $12,500 grand prize, the win marks the organization's first LAN trophy in seven years and provides a significant boost in the VRS standings.
The series began on Inferno, where Liquid left no room for doubt, securing a 13:4 win. The second map, Anubis, proved more competitive, but Liquid maintained control to close out the series 13:9. malbsMd was the standout performer, finishing with 41 kills and a 211 ADR. EliGE and NAF also contributed heavily with 34 and 31 kills, respectively.
While Wildcard fell in the final, their performance throughout the event was a massive success for their Major ambitions. By defeating NRG in the group stage and DENDELE in the semifinals, they climbed 20 places in the global VRS standings. They now sit in 12th place in the Americas, just 61 points away from the 9th spot required for a PGL Singapore Major invite.
For Liquid, this victory ends a title drought dating back to 2019 (excluding RMR events). The 115-point gain in the VRS rankings moves them up to 16th place, placing the roster within striking distance of invites to tier-one competitions.
