Liquid knocked to IEM Beijing lower bracket after 0-2 loss to PARIVISION
Liquid have been dropped to the lower bracket of IEM Beijing following a 0-2 series defeat against PARIVISION. After a dominant opening win over Aurora, the team failed to secure a map in their second match, leaving them one loss away from elimination.
The battle for a playoff spot proved too much for Liquid. On Ancient, PARIVISION established early dominance on the T-side, racing to a 7-2 lead. Although Liquid managed to close the gap slightly before the half, PARIVISION quickly regained control to take the map 13-7.
Liquid attempted a comeback on Inferno, overcoming an early 1-6 deficit with a 4-1 run to level the score at 8-8. However, PARIVISION's T-side execution remained superior, as they secured the final rounds to win the map 13-9 and the series.
Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev was the standout performer of the series, posting a massive 36 kills and a 1.48 rating. His performance was particularly dominant on Ancient (1.61 rating) and Inferno (1.50 rating), effectively neutralizing Liquid's efforts.
Liquid now faces a must-win scenario. To stay alive in the tournament, they must win two consecutive series. Their next challenge in the lower bracket will be against TYLOO.
