LGD Gaming beats Top Esports to reach LPL 2026 upper bracket semifinal
LGD Gaming secured a hard-fought 3:2 victory over Top Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinal of LPL 2026 Split 3, advancing to face Anyone's Legend in the semifinal on September 3.
The series began with momentum for LGD Gaming, who took the first two maps comfortably. Top Esports fought back to force a decider, winning the third and fourth maps to level the score at 2:2. The fifth map was a tense affair that lasted 39 minutes and 39 seconds, ultimately decided by LGD Gaming with a narrow 16–15 win.
Top Esports has been relegated to the lower bracket, where they will meet Invictus Gaming on September 5. Meanwhile, the other upper bracket quarterfinal between JD Gaming and Team WE is scheduled for August 30, with Bilibili Gaming awaiting the winner in the next round.
