Knife in Left Hand, Gun in Right: Chaos Cooking FPS 'Mayhem À La Carte' Announced for Early Access in 2027
InGame Studios and 505 Games have officially announced Mayhem À La Carte, a chaotic co-op action game that fuses first-person shooter mechanics with cooking simulation. The title is set to launch in Early Access later this year, promising a frantic experience where players must simultaneously manage kitchen orders and defend the restaurant from intruders.
The game takes place in a dilapidated restaurant kitchen where danger lurks around every corner. Players are tasked with two conflicting objectives: preparing meals to perfection for customers and repelling enemies that breach the kitchen. The gameplay requires intense multitasking, as you must chop ingredients, cook meat on pans, and plate dishes while simultaneously wielding assault rifles, shotguns, or even improvised weapons made from kitchen tools.

A unique twist is that failed dishes and desserts can be used as weapons. Players can throw burnt food like explosives or freeze enemies with cold desserts, adding a layer of absurdity to the combat. The chaos is amplified by fire hazards and explosions, requiring teammates to divide roles effectively between cooking and defense.

Developed by InGame Studios, known for the crime action title Crime Boss: Rockay City, the game combines thrilling FPS mechanics with slapstick simulation elements. The studio aims to create a bizarre and chaotic atmosphere that blends these genres seamlessly. To enhance coordination, the game supports close-range voice chat, allowing teammates to communicate and strategize in real-time.

Mayhem À La Carte will be available for PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One, PlayStation 5/PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to enter Early Access before the end of 2027. Fans can currently wishlist the title on the Steam store page to stay updated on its release.
