TL Josedeodo After Defeating Anyone's Legend: "Yesterday we stayed until 2 AM flaming each other"
Team Liquid jungler Brandon "Josedeodo" Joel Villegas reflected on the team's victory over LPL champions Anyone's Legend. Following a 0-2 start to the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage, this crucial win in the elimination bracket keeps Team Liquid's championship run alive.
The victory was preceded by intense internal discussions. Josedeodo revealed that the players spent hours addressing their issues, eventually realizing that a lack of confidence was preventing them from capitalizing on the space provided by their opponents.
"Yesterday we stayed until 2 AM flaming each other for like, three hours," Josedeodo admitted. "We just came to the conclusion that we were not playing confident enough and we were given a lot of space during the games. And we just changed that today. And it looked quite good."
Confidence was further bolstered by champion selection. The jungler noted that picking Lee Sin helped him feel more comfortable during the match, especially as Anyone's Legend did not prioritize banning the champion.
This win also marks a personal milestone for Josedeodo, representing his first victory at Worlds since the 2020 edition. He jokingly referenced his previous loss against LGD Gaming, noting that the victory felt particularly good after that history.
Looking ahead to the 1-2 bracket, Josedeodo commented on the high tension of survival matches. He noted that every fight now feels like a battle for survival, making the games incredibly intense. While he didn't name a specific target, he jokingly mentioned G2 Esports as a potential opponent.
Despite a difficult start to the tournament, Josedeodo expressed gratitude to the fans for their continued support and stated his goal of reaching at least the quarterfinals.
