Hardware enthusiasts already know we are eagerly awaiting the next-generation showdown between Intel's Nova Lake processors and AMD's Zen 6-based Ryzen CPUs. However, known leaker LaurentsChoice has added fuel to the fire by posting a CPU-Z screenshot for the Intel Core Ultra 9 4950K, which allegedly shows impressive performance.
New Naming and Nova Lake Architecture
The leak introduces a four-digit model number: Intel Core Ultra 9 4950K. Despite the "Core Ultra 9" branding, the processor reportedly has 28 cores. The insider describes them as "8P&20E", but based on earlier leaks, this is likely an 8-core P-cluster plus a 16-core E-cluster and 4 LP cores.

Crucially, Nova Lake does not support Hyper-Threading. This means the processor has exactly 28 threads, not more.
