IfSunSets Targets Version 1.0 Release by End of 2026 with Kraken Finale

In a developer note dated August 31, CEO Cho outlined the studio's focus on finalizing the game's ending quest and the climactic battle against the Kraken. The team aims to ensure that every element players have explored, built, and learned during their journey in Luminora finds meaningful application in this final chapter.

The upcoming release will integrate a vast amount of content accumulated since Early Access began in November 2024. This includes the massive "Ocean Update," which expanded the world beyond land to feature shipbuilding, sailing, and underwater exploration, alongside new regions, dungeons, bosses, and four-player co-op mechanics.

Alongside adding new stories and rewards, the studio is currently rebalancing core systems. Adjustments are being made to shop prices, crafting materials, the experience curve, items, skills, and monsters to create a cohesive flow between exploration, progression, base building, and the "Night of the Dead" survival events.

The development team has maintained a steady pace since Early Access, releasing 71 hotfixes and seven major updates. While there was a two-month period dedicated entirely to integrating the Ocean Update content, development has not ceased; weekly improvements continue as the studio pushes toward the polish required for the official launch.

To celebrate the upcoming milestone, POLYMORPH STUDIO is preparing a special reward exclusively for Early Access players ahead of the 1.0 release. The studio emphasizes that while IfSunSets is not yet a finished game, their goal is to deliver a far more complete and polished experience based on the feedback received from the community over the past two years.

The current pricing for the title is $19.99, though it is currently available with a 40% discount, bringing the price down to $11.99.
