Hoya hints at retirement after NIP's LPL Split 3 exit

Yun Yong-ho (Hoya) of Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) posted a farewell message to fans, stating that his time in the LPL will remain unforgettable until the end of his life.

The Korean jungler’s season concluded after NIP lost 2-3 to LGD Gaming in the LPL Split 3 lower bracket second round on September 6. The defeat prevented the team from securing additional Championship Points, ending their campaign and eliminating them from the League of Legends World Championship China qualifiers.

Yun Yong-ho, who debuted in 2019 after playing for Griffin, has since competed for Fresh Blood (now Hanjin Blood), Dplus KIA, and ThunderTalk Gaming (TT). He joined NIP for the 2026 season. In his post, the 2000-born player noted that four years have passed since his arrival in China and expressed that he may not be able to play in overseas leagues next year.

He acknowledged that his performance against LGD was insufficient for what he considered a final opportunity to compete in an international tournament. Yun Yong-ho thanked fans for their support during difficult moments and expressed hope for the health and happiness of his teammates and supporters, regardless of his future path.
