Hotfixes: Class Balance and Bug Fixes in World of Warcraft

Blizzard has released a comprehensive list of hotfixes for World of Warcraft, covering version 12.1.5 as well as Mists of Pandaria Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore. The updates, implemented throughout late October 2026, focus on class balancing, scenario fixes in Labyrinth, and resolving various item and quest issues.

Class balancing remains a primary focus in the 12.1.5 update. In PvE, Druids received notable buffs: Feral Druids saw a 5% increase in overall damage, while Restoration Druids received significant healing boosts to Verdancy (+60%), Regrowth (+10%), and Swiftmend (+40%). Marksmanship Hunters also gained effectiveness through increased damage for Explosive Shot and Volley, alongside improved ricochet damage for Trick Shots. Additionally, Fire Mages received a 5% damage increase, and Destruction Warlocks saw a 20% boost to Rain of Fire damage.

The PvP landscape saw different adjustments. To address overperformance, Fire Mages received a 5% damage reduction, and Subtlety Rogues underwent a significant nerf, with all ability damage reduced by 8% and a reduction in the Fazed buff effectiveness. Conversely, Unholy Death Knights saw a 20% damage reduction for Vampiric Strike. On the offensive side, Marksmanship Hunters and Assassination Rogues received targeted buffs to improve their competitive viability in PvP combat.

Technical Fixes and World Updates

Beyond combat, several technical issues were addressed. In the Labyrinth, developers fixed UI bugs in the 'Bear's Burden' scenario and flickering issues in 'The Wandering.' Issues preventing Great Vault credits in certain scenarios were also resolved. In The Burning Crusade Classic, the reputation requirement for Heroic Dungeon keys has been lowered from Revered to Honored.

The hotfixes also included visual improvements for items like Azshara's Darkscale Cloak and fixes for various dungeon mechanics in Den of Nalorakk and Murder Row to ensure intended gameplay experiences.
