GIGABYTE RTX 5070 Ti fails after 11 days, buyer claims no response

A consumer in Poland claims that a GIGABYTE RTX 5070 Ti graphics card failed just 11 days after purchase and that the company has not responded to two return attempts, despite the card being sent in for warranty service.

According to a timeline shared by Reddit user sasa_masa_99, the GPU was purchased on May 13, 2026. On May 24, 2026, the card stopped working entirely. The user subsequently sent the hardware to GIGABYTE for warranty repair. However, the card was returned with a note stating that it had "successfully passed testing," a claim the user disputes, noting that the device was non-functional at the time of return.

Frustrated by the initial response, the user sent the RTX 5070 Ti back to GIGABYTE a second time. This time, a technician reportedly replaced only the thermal paste and returned the product without the original box or manual. The user notes that this is not the first instance of GIGABYTE failing to resolve a hardware issue. Previously, a WINDFORCE 3X version of the RTX 4090 experienced unrecoverable errors in its VRAM chips due to memory degradation. Despite multiple tests demonstrating the video memory issue, GIGABYTE claimed the GPU was functioning normally after running tests like FurMark.

To verify the system's stability, the user replaced the faulty RTX 5070 Ti with an older RTX 2070, which operated without issues, confirming that the problem lay with the newer card. A third-party seller also acknowledged the defect in the new GPU and requested an immediate replacement. Since these two return attempts, GIGABYTE customer support has stopped responding to the user's emails. The user, who resides in Wroclaw, Poland, suggests that the lack of response may warrant escalation to consumer protection authorities.
