GIGABYTE launches SFF-ready GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE OC V2 with Hawk Fans
GIGABYTE has officially launched the GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE OC V2 SFF 16G, a compact graphics card designed to meet NVIDIA's Small Form Factor (SFF) specifications. Priced at 282,800 yen in Japan, this model targets enthusiasts building space-constrained systems who still demand high-end performance from the new Ada Lovelace architecture successor.
The card features a unique three-fan cooling solution utilizing GIGABYTE's proprietary Hawk Fan technology. Inspired by the aerodynamics of a hawk's wing, this design arranges the fans to rotate in opposing directions between pairs. This counter-rotation strategy aligns airflow paths and reduces turbulence, effectively increasing air pressure for better thermal management within a tight chassis.
In terms of specifications, the GV-N5080WF3OCV2-16GD is built on GDDR7 memory with 16GB capacity running at 30Gbps over a 256-bit bus. The core clock is rated at 2,670MHz. Connectivity includes one HDMI 2.1b port and three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs, catering to modern high-refresh-rate displays.
