Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Arrives on PS5 October 1 with New Narrative Expansion
Sucker Punch Productions has announced that Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will launch on PS5 on October 1. The update includes a new narrative expansion, a single-player combat survival mode, and various quality-of-life improvements.
The developers noted that the release coincides with the one-year anniversary of the original game. The update features a new story chapter titled Echoes of Sekigahara. The narrative unfolds across present-day events and flashbacks to the protagonist Atsu's past: players will meet a new character named Nagato, explore a previously unseen valley, and experience key moments from the Battle of Sekigahara.
A new single-player mode called Most Wanted, inspired by the roguelike genre, is also included. In this mode, players accept bounties to earn perks and unlock additional characters: Atsu with dual katanas, Oyuki with a kusarigama, and Nagato with a yari.
Purchasing Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition for $69.99 includes the base game, the online co-op experience Legends, and both new content additions. Owners of the original title can upgrade for $14.99. Pre-ordering by September 30 grants early access to the Sakai Armor as a bonus.
