Rumor: Gentle Mates Reach Verbal Agreement with MAGNUM
Gentle Mates have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Martin «MAGNUM» Peňkov to join their VALORANT roster for the 2027 season, according to sources from Sheep Esports. The Czech player is expected to leave Enterprise Esports once the current season concludes.
MAGNUM spent the current season with Enterprise Esports, progressing through the Play-In to reach the VCT EMEA Stage 2 playoffs. The team secured a 5th–6th place finish before being eliminated by Team Liquid. Notably, Enterprise Esports previously defeated Gentle Mates during the Play-In stage.
The move is part of a broader restructuring within Gentle Mates. Sheep Esports has previously reported intended additions of Ugur «Ruxic» Güç, Emir «Alfajer» Beder, and Denis-Stefan «kozzy» Aionitoaia, with Adam «kaplan» Kaplan expected to take over as head coach. Following a 13th–16th place finish in VCT EMEA Stage 2, the organization is actively rebuilding. However, these roster changes remain unconfirmed by official announcements.
