Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Update ‘Hour of Ruin’ Launches November 4
The miHoYo developers have officially announced that the Version 7.2 update for Genshin Impact, titled “Hour of Ruin,” is set to launch on November 4.
The upcoming Archon Quest focuses on the escalating threat of the Nails of Retribution awakening across Teyvat. To combat this calamity, the Tsaritsa has summoned representatives from all seven nations to Snezhnaya. Players will join forces with the Archons, Neuvillette, and various allies to prevent a global catastrophe. Completing the questline will reward players with 560 Primogems and Ascension Materials for the new character, Mitya.
Exploration expands with new areas in eastern Snezhnaya. Players can travel to the subterranean city of Novokitezhgrad, built entirely from Kresnik Kristall, or journey to Wingspan Peak to discover Old Kitezhgrad, the nation's first city. To combat the Holy Soil phenomenon, new gameplay elements will be introduced, including Prime Ice Constructs and two elemental shotguns designed to neutralize contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits.
Two new characters are joining the playable roster:
- Mitya: A 5-star Electro Catalyst user who converts Superconduct reactions into new Stellar-Conduct reactions, boosting the party's damage.
- Valeriy: A 4-star Electro Sword user who provides shields and enhances Electro DMG, specifically for Stellar-Conduct teams.
The first phase of the Event Wishes will feature the debut of Mitya and Valeriy alongside a rerun of Furina. The second phase will see the return of Zibai and Linnea, alongside a new Chronicled Wish featuring characters from Natlan.
Additional content includes a filming event in Snezhnaya, a mining challenge in Natlan, and new masquerade-themed assets for Miliastra Wonderland. Players can also participate in a limited-time event to earn a 4-star character of their choice by progressing through the Archon Quest.
