Gen.G Coach Ryu Predicts T1 in LCK Finals
Gen.G head coach Yoo Sang-wook, known as Ryu, predicted T1 as his opponent in the LCK finals after securing the team's eighth consecutive appearance in the championship match.
Speaking at the LCK finals media day held at the Grand Seoul LP LCK Arena on September 8, Ryu offered a conditional forecast for the upcoming series. He stated that if T1's bottom lane executes aggressive plays successfully in the lower bracket final, he expects them to advance to the finals.
Gen.G will face the winner of the lower bracket final between Hanwha Life Esports and T1 on September 13. When asked about the specific challenges of each potential opponent, Ryu noted that T1 creates a high number of variables, making them a difficult matchup to prepare for. He also highlighted Hanwha Life Esports for their bold attempts and frequent dives, describing their aggressive style as particularly tough to handle.
Concluding his remarks, Ryu emphasized the importance of daily condition and preparation, vowing to prepare thoroughly to secure the championship title regardless of which team emerges from the lower bracket final.
