Geekay Esports and Virtus.pro Advance in Europe MENA League 2026 Playoffs
The lower bracket quarterfinals of Europe MENA League 2026 Stage 2 have concluded. Geekay Esports defeated Shifters 2-1 in a tight series, while Virtus.pro secured a 2-0 victory over Twisted Minds.
In the first lower bracket matchup, Shifters—who had been consistent leaders throughout the group stage—were unable to maintain their momentum and fell 1-2 to Geekay Esports. With this loss, Shifters exit the tournament. Geekay Esports will move on to face Virtus.pro in their next encounter.
Virtus.pro left no room for doubt in their matchup against Twisted Minds, closing out the series 2-0. The Australian side, who had previously dropped into the lower bracket, is now out of the competition. For Virtus.pro, the path remains open to compete for one of the four available slots at BLAST R6 Major Osaka 2026.
The upcoming clash between Geekay Esports and Virtus.pro is scheduled for October 12 at 10:00 PM. The winner will advance to the semifinals, while the loser will be eliminated from Europe MENA League 2026 Stage 2. As a reminder, the top four finishers will secure spots at BLAST R6 Major Osaka 2026, with the champion taking home $25,000.
