GamerLegion to use Maden for IEM Beijing qualifier
GamerLegion will compete in the IEM Beijing closed qualifier without Sebastian "Tauson" Lindelof, who is sidelined due to health reasons. Montenegrin stand-in Pavle "Maden" Bošković steps in for the September 2–4 online event, where two spots at the November main event are on offer.
Tauson has been one of the team's most consistent performers since the EWC group stage, where he finished in the top 10 players of the opening week. Replacing him at short notice with a stand-in for a qualifier of this importance is a significant setback for their chances.
The stakes extend beyond Beijing itself. GamerLegion have only one major tournament remaining on their calendar for the rest of 2026: FISSURE Playground 3, which begins next week. Missing out on IEM Beijing would leave them with a single event to accumulate VRS points before the Singapore Major invite window closes, a position that could have serious consequences for their Major qualification picture. They open against Nuclear TigeRES in the first round.
