G2 BABYBAY on TYLOO’s slowly after Champions Shanghai win: "He’s so fast"
G2 Esports player Andrej "BABYBAY" Francisty praised TYLOO's Sun "slowly" Kelun following a 2-0 victory in their opening Group C match at VALORANT Champions 2026 on September 24. During an on-stage post-match interview in Shanghai, he discussed the importance of a strong start, the team's preparation for Lotus, and the support from the local crowd.
Securing a win in the opening match was a priority for G2 Esports. BABYBAY emphasized that the team specifically focused on this game to avoid their tendency of starting tournaments slowly.
"Yeah, 100%. We were looking forward to trying to win this match the most because we sometimes start slow in tournaments, and I feel like that’s a downfall that we have as a team. But we understood how strong TYLOO was as a team, and we prepped really hard for them. But they fought hard as well. It was really hard," he said.
The discussion also touched upon the Chamber composition used by TYLOO on Lotus and the individual matchup against Sun "slowly" Kelun. BABYBAY credited his teammates for their support and noted that practice against LOUD, who utilize a similar composition, proved vital for their preparation.
"Oh my gosh. slowly is one of the most insane players, I think. Mechanically, he’s so fast. There were so many times in the game, even on the first map, second map, where I had no chance. It was crazy. I had a lot of support to deal with him, and it was really good. But we got good training partners back in the Americas. LOUD plays that comp, so we were prepared to play against that on Lotus," BABYBAY added.
With this victory, G2 Esports advances to the winners' match in Group C. Two teams from the group will move on to the playoffs.
