Fujitsu Unveils Godzilla-Themed Laptop Featuring Ryzen AI

Fujitsu has revealed a special-edition version of its ultraportable notebook, the FMV Zero Godzilla Edition (model WU3G-L3). This collaboration is tied to the upcoming film Godzilla-0.0, which is set to hit theaters on November 3.

Thematic Design: From Touchpad to Cursor

This isn't a simple case of slapping stickers on a lid. Fujitsu has integrated Godzilla-inspired details throughout the hardware. The lid features a black-on-black illustration of the monster, and the touchpad is designed with the creature's iconic dorsal fins. Even the software gets a makeover: the mouse cursor is replaced by a Godzilla footprint, and the Enter key features a custom "G-0.0" logo. The 65W USB-C power adapter also receives a themed design.

Despite the heavy theme, the device remains incredibly light. This 14-inch ultraportable (1920x1200 resolution) weighs just 886 grams (1.95 lbs) and meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards.

Internal Specs: The Ryzen AI Advantage

Under the hood, the laptop utilizes AMD's Gorgon Point architecture. Users can choose between the Ryzen AI 7 445 and Ryzen AI 5 430 processors. Both chips leverage a mix of Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores and include an onboard NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS for AI workloads. Integrated graphics are handled by the Radeon 840M.

Key specifications include:

  • Memory: 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X-8000;
  • Storage: SSD options ranging from 256GB to 2TB;
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, USB4, HDMI, USB-A, and Ethernet;
  • Battery: 63Wh (rated for up to 17.5 hours of video playback per manufacturer tests).

Pricing and Availability

Currently, the FMV Zero Godzilla Edition is available exclusively through the FMV store in Japan. The base configuration, featuring the Ryzen AI 5 430, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD, starts at ¥265,100 (approximately $1,695). Upgrading to the Ryzen AI 7 445 costs an additional ¥19,800, while expanding the memory to 32GB adds ¥55,000. Deliveries are expected to begin in late November.
