First Wild West Pioneers Hotfix: Stability and Control Fixes
Following the early access launch of Wild West Pioneers, the development team has released their first hotfix. This update, version 0.1.0_19478, focuses on improving stability and resolving issues that impacted long-term gameplay sessions.
The patch addresses several critical crash scenarios, including issues related to resident movement, graphics rendering (specifically regarding particle shadows), and stability during extended play sessions. Additionally, the developers fixed a memory leak that occurred when changing resolutions, interacting with certain UI elements, or switching between applications.
The update also tackles several gameplay and interface bugs, including:
- Controls becoming unresponsive after returning to the main menu and starting a new session.
- The ESC key, cutscene skipping, and other inputs occasionally failing to function.
- A bug that could cause the in-game clock to stop permanently.
- Missing fonts on the quest timer and FAQ buttons.
- Mouse hover and click interactions triggering while the game was running in the background.
Visual and environmental fixes were also included, such as resolving unusually large bird swarms appearing during building placement while paused and errors occurring when placing buildings in areas with minimal tree coverage. The Wild West Pioneers team expressed gratitude to the community for reporting these issues and stated they will continue to work through player feedback to improve the game's stability.
