Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Launches on Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3
Square Enix has confirmed: June 3, 2026, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 owners will be able to play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth — the second chapter of the iconic JRPG remake trilogy, which earned over 125 perfect scores and more than 40 Game of the Year awards.

About Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. Released on PS5 in February 2024, it became one of the highest-rated games in the franchise's history. It was ported to PC in 2025, and now Square Enix is expanding to new platforms.
Xbox Launch Offer
Xbox Series X|S players get a 20% launch discount on the digital version, valid until June 10, 2026. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes: Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, Shinra Bangle Mk. II armor, Midgar Bangle Mk. II armor, digital artbook, and mini-soundtrack.
Nintendo Switch 2 Version
For the first time, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming to a portable platform, made possible by the Nintendo Switch 2's hardware capabilities.
Streamlined Progression Mode
Both Xbox and Switch 2 versions include the optional Streamlined Progression mode — unlimited HP/MP, auto-filled ATB and Limit Break gauges, 9,999 damage cap, and simplified weapon ability unlocks. This mode lets players focus on the story and the game's acclaimed hybrid combat system.
