FaZe drop Stake Ranked Episode 4 opener to Nemiga
FaZe dropped their opening series at Stake Ranked Episode 4, falling to Nemiga. It is a difficult setback for Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's squad as they continue their fight for a spot at the PGL Singapore Major. Although the series remained competitive until the end, the result leaves FaZe with a 1-8 map record across four matches.
The first map, Mirage, saw FaZe miss a significant opportunity. After establishing a 9-3 lead on the CT side, they failed to close out the map in regulation. A four-round losing streak pushed the game into overtime, where Nemiga took control, eventually winning 16-14. Kirill "Xant3r" Kononov led the charge for the victors with 26 kills and a 1.51 rating.
On Ancient, FaZe started strong with a 3-0 lead on the CT side, but Xant3r disrupted their defense, allowing Nemiga to take the half. FaZe fought back in the second half and nearly forced overtime, but a crucial 2k from Xant3r during a mid push halted their momentum. Nemiga secured the map 13-11.
FaZe will now face Astralis in the lower bracket tomorrow. They desperately need wins to keep their Major qualification hopes alive.
