FaZe defeat NAVI Junior to secure Roman Imperium Cup IX championship
FaZe have claimed the Roman Imperium Cup IX title after defeating NAVI Junior in two separate matchups on the tournament's final day. After a hard-fought series in the upper bracket final, the squad returned to dominate the grand final.
The upper bracket final required a reverse sweep from FaZe. NAVI Junior started strong on Anubis, securing a 13:9 victory after building an 11:5 lead in the second half. FaZe responded on Nuke, grinding out a 13:9 win to force a decider. On Dust2, NAVI Junior held an 11:6 lead, but FaZe mounted a comeback to force overtime, eventually winning 19:15. David "frozen" Čerňanský anchored the comeback with 31 kills in the final map.
The grand final, however, was a completely different story. FaZe left no room for doubt, sweeping NAVI Junior 2-0. The academy side struggled to find any rhythm, losing both Anubis and Nuke with identical scores of 13:2.
Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski was named the grand final MVP, delivering a massive performance with 34 kills and a 2.04 rating. This victory provides a significant boost to FaZe's standing in the global VRS rankings and strengthens their prospects for PGL Major Singapore.
