The first participants for the upcoming BLAST R6 Major Osaka 2026 have been confirmed. Following the upper bracket semifinals of the South America League 2026 Stage 2, FaZe Clan and Team Liquid secured their spots. Meanwhile, in North America, 100 Thieves and Cloud9 became the first teams from the region to qualify for the Major.
South America: FaZe Clan and Team Liquid Secure Spots
In the South America League 2026 Stage 2 playoffs, FaZe Clan and Team Liquid punched their tickets to Major Osaka by winning their respective upper bracket semifinals. FaZe Clan swept Black Dragons 2:0, continuing a stellar season that includes two consecutive Six Invitational titles and a victory at the Esports World Cup 2026 for Rainbow Six Siege.
Team Liquid achieved an identical 2:0 result against FURIA, ensuring their participation in the international event and advancement in the upper bracket. Both teams will now face off in the upper bracket final on October 10 to determine the regional champion.
North America: 100 Thieves and Cloud9 Lead the Way
In North America, 100 Thieves and Cloud9 became the first teams to clinch qualification. 100 Thieves secured their spot with a 2:0 series victory over Shopify Rebellion, taking Clubhouse 8:6 and Bank 7:3.
Cloud9's qualification came after a more varied performance against DarkZero. After a tight 8:7 victory on Border, they dominated the second map, Villa, with a 7-1 scoreline. Roberto "Panbazou" Feliciano stood out as the series MVP, posting 28 kills and a 1.22 KPR.
The battle for the remaining slots continues in the lower bracket. Shopify Rebellion and DarkZero will face elimination matches on October 10 for the final chance to join the Major roster.
