FalleN will not postpone his retirement
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo is sticking to his word. Despite rumors regarding potential roster shifts within FURIA, the veteran has reaffirmed his intention to step down from professional Counter-Strike 2.
In a post-game interview with Dust2 Brasil during ESL Pro League Season 24, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo reiterated that his retirement is coming in just a few months. When asked if he would delay his departure if Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis or Danil "molodoy" Golubenko were to leave the organization, the 35-year-old veteran was clear: it is not an option.
FalleN stated that after everything he has experienced, he has no desire to "sit on the fence" anymore. Having originally announced his retirement at IEM Rio this past April, his plan to exit at the end of the season remains unchanged. Even with rumors circulating about the potential departure of YEKINDAR and molodoy, FalleN assured fans, "You can bet I won't be playing."
The veteran's farewell tour has yet to result in silverware, following recent performances at IEM Cologne and StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. Additionally, the organization faces external pressure as FURIA is reportedly forced to terminate its partnership with BetBoom due to recent gambling bans in Brazil.
