With ExileCon 2026 just a week away, Grinding Gear Games has unveiled the official schedule and practical information for all attendees. The event will take place in Auckland, New Zealand, offering both in-person experiences and live broadcasts for online viewers.
For international travelers, the most critical reminder is the requirement to apply for an NZeTA online before arriving in New Zealand. Organizers recommend completing this process as soon as possible to ensure smooth entry into the country.
The weekend's program features several distinct segments. Holders of VIP and Ultra VIP passes can attend a special dinner on Friday, November 6, at 6:00 PM NZT at Saint Alice Eatery, where 215 players will mingle with 100 Grinding Gear Games staff members. The main event kicks off on Saturday, November 7, with a pre-show at 9:30 AM, followed by the highly anticipated keynote presentation at 10:00 AM. Online viewers will be able to stream the keynote, gameplay demonstrations, and developer panels throughout the entire weekend.
Registration will be held at the Aotea Centre. To collect a badge, attendees must present a QR code from their Path of Exile account page and a valid photo ID. Since the event is a Restricted 16+ engagement, staff will perform spot checks of IDs throughout the weekend. For those attending the After Party on Sunday (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM), a Restricted 18+ policy applies, requiring valid identification for entry.
Regarding safety and accessibility, all cosplay weapons brought to the venue will undergo inspections to ensure they are non-harmful. The Aotea Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, and the main theatre is equipped with hearing aid loops for attendees who require them.
