CS2's First Asian Major
PGL Major Singapore 2026 is a historic event for the CS2 scene: the first ever Major held in Asia. Valve and PGL have historically run the biggest tournaments in Europe and North America. Singapore reflects the growing significance of the Asian region in CS2.
Format: Valve Major Standard
Standard Valve Major format: 16 teams in Swiss system group stage, single-elimination playoffs for top 8, best-of-5 grand final. Prize pool: $1,250,000 — Valve's standard for Majors.
Participants and Favourites
Teams qualify through regional RMR qualifications. By current world CS2 rankings, European teams — notably Natus Vincere — are traditionally among Major favourites. Asian teams benefit from home advantage and local audience support.
Why It Matters
A Major in Asia is a step toward more global CS2. The Asian scene has grown significantly since transitioning from CS:GO, and this event will attract new audiences.
