ENVY in talks to acquire 3DMAX roster alongside OG and Heretics

ENVY is reportedly the furthest along in discussions to acquire the 3DMAX roster, according to French insider Guillaume "neL" Rathier.

Speaking on the CS2 podcast Croissant Strike, neL stated that OG, ENVY, and Heretics are all in talks to sign the entire 3DMAX roster or a trio of players for the VRS core. Among these organizations, ENVY is allegedly leading the negotiations.

The 3DMAX players have reportedly been searching for a new home for some time as the French organization faces severe financial difficulties. The club carries $2 million in debt, which includes €1,500,000 in unpaid salaries to current and former members of their Counter-Strike 2 team.

ENVY's interest in the squad is not unexpected, as Sébastien "KRL" Perez first reported their potential acquisition in May 2026. ENVY owner and founder Mike "hastr0" Rufail has also long expressed his desire to return to Counter-Strike since re-acquiring the brand in January 2025. Fueling further speculation, ENVY recently posted a tribute to their former French CS:GO roster on X.
