Envy signs ex-3DMAX lineup for Counter-Strike return
Envy is returning to Counter-Strike 2. After a hiatus that began in 2020, the American organization has signed the former 3DMAX lineup, consisting of Maka, Lucky, misutaaa, Graviti, and Kursy.
The move brings a sense of symmetry to the brand; Envy's only Major title at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 was achieved by a French roster. This new all-French five joins the organization following reports of unpaid salaries at 3DMAX, seeking stability as they enter the CS2 era.
The squad enters the scene with no time for a slow buildup. Currently ranked 21st in the Valve global standings, the team is already in the hunt for a Singapore Major spot. They must defend their ranking through Stake Pulse Beat III and DraculaN Season 7. Their first competitive appearance under the Envy banner is scheduled for October 12 at Pulse Beat.
