Elusive lose VRS core, seek two new players
Elusive have lost their VRS core after Nyas "sayN" Sederquist and Merigo "Msaia" Saia departed the roster today, reducing the lineup to three active players. The team intends to find two new members and restart their ladder progression from scratch.
The departures represent a significant setback for the newly formed project. Elusive was established just over a month ago through a deliberate effort by sayN, Msaia, and Austin "Austin" Meadows to utilize the VRS core held by the former NuTorious trio. With the exit of the duo, the talent agency-backed lineup has lost its foundational competitive advantage.
Despite the roster reduction, the organization has confirmed its intention to search for two new players. The team will begin its VRS ladder journey anew, starting from the bottom of the division.
During their brief period together, Elusive secured a spot in the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs with an 8-6 regular season record. The squad also participated in the first ESL Challenger League Season 51 Cup, where they recorded victories over Shimmer and NuTorious before forfeiting due to multiple players attending FRAG. The team ultimately forfeited the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs as a direct result of losing Msaia and sayN.
Justin "FRIZZY" Gillis told Dust2.us that Msaia is leaving the team to spend the next month in Turkey. FRIZZY stated he is unsure of the specific reason for sayN's departure, though he speculated it may be related to the two players operating as a duo.
