Elementa Renames V Project to StarToU and Reveals New Concept
Company Elementa announced a rebranding of its mobile project: the game V Project, first revealed in January this year, is now titled StarToU. Alongside the official promotional video, developers highlighted key changes to the game's concept.
In the new trailer, the studio demonstrated a shift in content creation. While previous efforts focused on 'cartoon rendering' and anime-style stylization, StarToU now prioritizes realism and dynamism. The group MacGuffin, featured in the video, consists of four characters: Tay, Yoora, Lim, and Noki.
The game's visual style differs significantly from traditional genre projects. Instead of the typical 'cute' and slender images common in the industry, developers have opted for more mature and powerful models. Characters are depicted with realistic graphics emphasizing musculature and physical form, highlighted by details like open shirts and defined muscles.

The storyline has also undergone changes. Rather than idealized relationships between group members, the video depicts conflicts and arguments. The scenes are dramatic: characters argue and even threaten to disband the group, but quickly return to professionalism during rehearsals and music video shoots. This creates a sense of real artist work rather than an idealized fairy tale.

Developers also noted the influence of the K-pop industry on the game's design. Unlike the Japanese style, StarToU uses more restrained and practical outfits reminiscent of the daily lives of members in modern boy groups. Musical compositions in the video are performed in a hip-hop style.

The game plans to feature a multiplayer story experience through memories, as well as rhythm game mechanics for interacting with characters. Users will be able to customize their avatars and create unique shows. Pre-orders for the game have already opened.
