DLSS 4.5 and PC6 at TGS2026: NVIDIA's Latest Tech Takes Center Stage
At Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe, six leading gaming hardware manufacturers showcased the latest NVIDIA technologies. The main highlight was playable demos supporting DLSS 4.5—featuring AI-based super resolution and 6X Multi Frame Generation—alongside hardware powered by the GeForce RTX 50 series.
DLSS 4.5 in Action and RTX 50 Power
A key focus of the exhibits was the real-world performance of DLSS 4.5. At the GIGABYTE AORUS booth, in collaboration with Thermaltake, a racing cockpit was set up featuring a mid-range gaming laptop with a GeForce RTX 5060. Thanks to DLSS 4.5, Forza Horizon 6 ran at a stable 60 FPS on a 49-inch ultra-wide monitor (5120×1440).
High-end configurations were showcased by MSI and ASUS ROG. MSI presented a desktop equipped with a GeForce RTX 5090 running Forza Horizon 6 in an immersive ultra-wide setup. Their lineup also included a 16-inch 240Hz OLED laptop powered by a GeForce RTX 5080 for 007 First Light, and an 18-inch laptop featuring the GeForce RTX 5090.
The ASUS ROG booth featured a premium 18-inch GeForce RTX 5090 laptop priced at approximately ¥1 million, used to play 007 First Light. Additionally, a desktop setup demonstrated G-SYNC Pulsar technology, designed to significantly reduce motion blur during gameplay.
Diverse Configurations and Cloud Gaming
Brands STORM and GALLERIA (by Third Wave) highlighted systems powered by the GeForce RTX 5070. GALLERIA showcased a GeForce RTX 5090 laptop paired with a BenQ 4K OLED monitor, achieving 240Hz in Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light through the use of DLSS 4.5.
A notable demonstration came from Mouse Computer (G TUNE and NEXTGEAR). Beyond high-performance rigs, they demonstrated GeForce NOW cloud gaming on a Core i5-1335U-based tablet. Despite the tablet's modest hardware, the cloud service enabled smooth gameplay in PRAGMATA.
