DK exits Worlds 2026: Bilibili Gaming sweeps Dplus KIA
Dplus KIA's run at the League of Legends World Championship has come to an end. The team failed to advance, falling to Bilibili Gaming in a decisive quarterfinal series.
In the quarterfinals held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, Dplus KIA was eliminated following a 0-3 defeat against BLG. While Dplus KIA exits the tournament, Bilibili Gaming advances to the semifinals to face the winner of the T1 vs. Karmine Corp matchup.
The opening game saw an early lead for Dplus KIA, with "Lucid" Choi Yong-hyeok securing two kills on K'Sante/Kiana. However, the momentum shifted at the 14-minute mark when "Career" Oh Hyeong-seok's Rell was picked off in a mid-lane fight. Following unsuccessful attempts to contest Voidgrubs, BLG, led by "Xun" Feng Lixin, secured three objectives, Chemtech Soul, and Baron, eventually closing the game at 33 minutes.
In the second game, Dplus KIA struggled in the bot lane early on, losing two members to "Hans Sama" Steve Li's Ezreal. Despite efforts to stabilize, BLG maintained control over objectives and built a 4,000 gold lead. A decisive push at the 32-minute mark allowed BLG to take the base and the series.
The third game proved difficult for Dplus KIA from the start. After an unsuccessful invade and early deaths for "ShowMaker" Heo Su on Viktor and "Lucid" Choi Yong-hyeok on Pantheon, the team struggled to find footing. Despite some skirmishes, "Bin" Chen Ze-bin's Jax dominated the top lane, securing a solo kill on "Siwoo" Jeon Si-woo. Following the loss of Baron and a decisive fight at the 23-minute mark, Dplus KIA could not withstand the BLG siege, resulting in a 0-3 sweep.
