Charting the Unknown DLC Details for Crimson Desert

Pearl Abyss has released a detailed overview of the upcoming Charting the Unknown DLC for Crimson Desert Enhanced. The content is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026.

The expansion is set to significantly expand the exploration of Pywel. New storylines will be introduced for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, which players can access via the Journal menu after completing the main story. Additionally, an ocean-focused storyline will become available following the completion of the "Howling Hill" quest.

Ocean exploration stands out as a major new feature. Players will be able to dive underwater to discover ruins and treasures, as well as build their own ships to sail across the Great Ocean of Pywel. To sustain longer dives, players will need to utilize items like diving suits to manage their breath.

Social and management systems are also receiving significant updates:

  • Romance and Bonds: Players can build deep relationships with inhabitants of Pywel, which can lead to romance and marriage. Close friends may also visit the "Greymane" Camp once it reaches a certain level.
  • Housing and Castles: An upgraded housing system will allow for custom home construction, and players can claim three specific castles to decorate with unique furnishings.
  • Business Management: The ability to rent and manage various businesses, such as restaurants or smithies, will be introduced.

For combat enthusiasts, the Garden of Trials will offer a new challenge. This mode allows players to face a series of bosses encountered throughout their adventures in Pywel to earn special rewards.
