CTBC Flying Oyster defeats MVK Esports to secure Worlds 2026 spot
CTBC Flying Oyster secured their spot at the League of Legends World Championship by defeating MVK Esports in a 3-1 series victory at the LCP Split 3 Grand Finals.
The match took place on August 29 at the LCP Arena in Taipei, Taiwan. With this win, CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) has guaranteed their qualification for Worlds via Championship Points, marking their second consecutive year of participation.
This victory sets up a final showdown against TSW, who defeated MVP Esports to also secure a ticket. CFO previously reached the Round of 8 in LCP Split 1 and finished as runners-up in Split 2 before this triumph.
The team's turnaround was driven by the acquisition of 'Paute' (Han In-hyung), a graduate of T1 Esports Academy, who helped stabilize the roster after their previous losses to MVK and Ground Zero.
