Crimson Desert Patch 2.02.00 Fixes Lantern, Fortress and DLSS Crashes
Crimson Desert has rolled out Patch Version 2.02.00 across all supported platforms, bringing a focused suite of bug fixes and stability enhancements to the ongoing journey on Pywel.
This latest update prioritizes core gameplay integrity and user interface smoothness. The developers have addressed several critical issues that could disrupt immersion or progress. Notably, players can now properly interact with NPCs using lanterns to reveal hidden belongings, a fix that resolves a previous visibility glitch. Additionally, the liberation of Thornbriar Fortress is no longer blocked, and housing availability at Howling Hill Camp has been restored even when inventory slots are full.
Quest progression has also received attention. The team fixed an issue where letters would vanish during specific moments in "The Words of Alustin" questline, ensuring players can advance their story without losing narrative threads. Combat mechanics saw improvements as well; the sequence involving "Descending Force Palm" following "Aerial Force Palm" now functions correctly in all scenarios.

Visual and technical stability were key focus areas for this patch. The game will no longer crash when launching a new session with DLSS Frame Generation enabled on Steam (PC) or Mac. Users can also expect cleaner visuals, as the update resolves excessive visual noise on armor indoors and corrects unnatural appearances of Kliff's face when wearing the Crow Cloth Blindfold under certain settings.
Finally, the localization quality has been refined across all supported languages, with specific corrections made to Arabic text rendering. As always, a list of known issues remains available for players to review before diving into the wilderness.
