Cooler Master Launches MWE Gold V4 PSUs with GPU Shield Protection
Cooler Master has launched the MWE Gold V4, a new line of ATX power supplies featuring an innovative GPU protection system designed for gamers and creators. The lineup includes six models across three wattages—750W, 850W, and 1,000W—and two color options: black and white.
The MWE Gold V4 is a fully modular unit carrying the 80 PLUS Gold certification. It supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, which are crucial for modern high-power graphics cards. A key inclusion is the standard 12V-2x6 connector, designed to handle the massive power demands of next-gen GPUs without needing adapters.

The standout feature is the GPU Shield Intelligent Current Management. This proprietary technology monitors current flow through each pin of the 12V-2x6 connector. If an abnormal current spike is detected—indicating a potential short or loose connection—the system automatically cuts power to protect the GPU and illuminates an LED warning light on the unit.

Beyond safety, Cooler Master has optimized thermal performance with a Wave-type heatsink design that improves airflow and heat dissipation paths. The unit also features a Zero RPM fan mode, which stops the cooling fans entirely when the system is under low load or idle, ensuring a silent operation in quiet environments.

All six models share the same compact dimensions of 140×150×86mm and come with a generous 10-year warranty. Pricing starts at $179.80 for the 750W model, rising to $219.80 for the 1,000W version, depending on the region and retailer.
