College Football 27 on PC: Requirements, Crossplay, and What to Check Before Installing

College Football's first PC release does not require a monster machine, but some conditions are worth checking first.

Minimum Requirements

EA's official PC requirements for College Football 27 list Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i3-10300, 12 GB memory, Radeon RX 5600 XT, GeForce RTX 2060 or Intel Arc A580, DirectX 12, broadband connection, and 50 GB storage.

The practical details are Windows 11 and network connection. If your system is still built around Windows 10, check compatibility before buying.

Crossplay and Modes

EA lists cross-platform play between PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in Dynasty, Road to the College Football Playoff, College Football Ultimate Team, and Play a Friend. For a sports game, that matters more than a menu checkbox: it defines who you can play seasons and leagues with.

If you buy for friends, check the mode as well as the platform.

Early PC Days

Steam Community notes that the team is monitoring feedback and investigating stability, crash, and performance issues. That is not a panic signal, but it is a reason to install carefully: update drivers, close extra overlays, check antivirus and EA app.

After installing, test a match, menu, save, network connection, and alt-tab before committing to a long Dynasty session.

  • Windows 11 is listed as required.
  • Check 12 GB RAM and 50 GB storage.
  • Compare your GPU to minimum.
  • Confirm the crossplay mode you need.
