Capcom showcases Switch Axe Boosted Actions for Ascendance expansion

Capcom has released a new trailer for the major Ascendance expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds. The footage provides a detailed breakdown of the Switch Axe's new Boosted Actions.
The trailer highlights several key gameplay enhancements for the Switch Axe, including:
- elemental discharge bursts;
- mechanics to blast and build the Switch and Amp Gauges;
- the introduction of new combos and follow-up attacks.
The Ascendance expansion is slated for a 2027 release. Currently, Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, with a version for Switch 2 currently in development.
