Capcom has released a new trailer for the major expansion “Ascendance” for Monster Hunter Wilds, focusing on the Long Sword’s new Boosted Actions.
The footage provides a breakdown of how the Long Sword will function within the expansion. The new mechanics include enhanced combos and counters, as well as improved ability to build the Spirit Gauge through slashing attacks. Additionally, the weapon will offer greater offset and stagger potential during combat.
The “Ascendance” expansion is slated for a 2027 release. Currently, Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, with a Switch 2 version currently in development.
