Blizzard to showcase World of Warcraft: Forever at PAX Aus
Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed its presence at PAX Aus, running from October 9 to 11. The spotlight will be on World of Warcraft: Forever, with developers set to share new details and engage with the community.
The event features two major keynote presentations. World of Warcraft Executive Producer Holly Longdale will kick off the exhibition as the Storytime keynote speaker. Drawing on two decades in the industry, she will discuss the ongoing evolution of the Warcraft universe and the vital role player communities play in the MMO genre.
Joining her on stage is Associate Production Director Clay Stone, who will lead a deep dive into one of the new dungeons arriving in World of Warcraft: Forever. The session aims to provide an exclusive look at the development team's design philosophy, creative process, and their approach to crafting new gameplay experiences.
For those unable to attend in person, the keynotes will be streamed live on the Warcraft and PAX Twitch channels at the following times:
- October 8: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. PDT / 9:00 – 10:30 p.m. EDT;
- October 9: 2:00 – 3:30 a.m. BST;
- October 9: 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. AEDT.
In addition to the presentations, a Meet & Greet session will be held on Friday. Holly Longdale and Clay Stone will host an informal signing session from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. AEDT.
At the World of Warcraft: Forever booth, attendees can get hands-on experience with the beta throughout the weekend. The booth will also feature themed photo opportunities and a ‘Raid for Riches’ quest card system, where completing tasks allows participants to unlock a Pinny Arcade pin and enter a prize draw for various rewards.
