Black Flag Resynced on PC: System Requirements, SSD, and What to Check Before Buying
Black Flag's remake requirements are not extreme, but SSD and a modern GPU are not a formality.
Minimum Baseline
Ubisoft and Steam list Windows 10/11 64-bit, Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB or Intel Arc A580 8GB, DirectX 12, and 65 GB on SSD.
The SSD note is a requirement, not a suggestion. For an open world with sea travel, cities, and fast movement, it affects more than loading screens.
What Counts as Comfortable
For 1080p/60 FPS on Medium, Ubisoft lists RTX 3060 12GB, RX 6600 XT 8GB, or Intel Arc B580 12GB with 16 GB RAM and SSD. That is the more realistic starting point for players who do not want minimum settings.
If you have 8 GB VRAM, do not max everything immediately. Start with Medium, test stability, then raise textures, shadows, and distance.
Pre-Buy Checklist
Check SSD space, Windows version, DirectX 12 support, driver freshness, and actual VRAM. On laptops, compare not only the GPU name but also its power configuration.
Do not buy the remake for high settings if your PC barely clears minimum. In that case, wait for tests on your exact GPU.
- SSD and 65 GB free space.
- 16 GB RAM baseline.
- VRAM and driver check.
- Be careful with laptop GPUs.
